Frequently asked questions
Standard sessions are 50 minutes, but I also offer extended sessions (e.g. 75 minutes) for couples/polycules or deeper creative work when needed.
Our sessions will take place via secure, HIPAA-compliant video. You can join from anywhere in California—whether you’re on your couch, at your desk, or wherever you feel safe. I aim to create a space that’s warm, nonjudgmental, and centered around you. We’ll talk, explore what’s coming up for you, and if it feels right, we can incorporate art or other creative tools.
My rate is $150 per 50-minute session for individuals and $200 for couples. I believe that therapy should be accessible, so I do offer a limited number of sliding scale spots based on need. Please feel free to ask about availability.
I am currently an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance directly. However, I can provide superbills that you may be able to submit for reimbursement depending on your plan. I recommend checking with your provider to see if they cover out-of-network telehealth psychotherapy with an LMFT.
Not at all! Art therapy is all about the process of expression, not the end product. You don’t need any previous art experience or talent to benefit from art therapy. It's designed to help you explore your emotions, reduce anxiety, and improve self-esteem through creative expression. The focus is entirely on how the art-making process helps you, not on how the final artwork looks. Art therapy is about expression, not perfection. I’ll guide you based on what feels comfortable and helpful for you.
